Editing is a crucial part of any writer's journey. Even if you have a good sense of grammar, it can be challenging to edit your own work. Editing is a collaboration between author and editor to enhance the writing for clarity, readability, and flow while maintaining the author's unique voice.

Proofreading
You had the idea, you wrote the book. You are ready to self-publish or start sending it out to agents and publishers, but you want to make sure your work is the best it can be. I will go through your text with a fine-tooth comb to make sure your book is error-free and ready for the next step.

Editing of Other Works
Applying for a job, school, or program? Send me your cover letter, resume, or essay. If you are the writer of a blog post, magazine or newspaper article, or another short written piece, I can help you edit and proofread for errors, inconsistencies, word count, and flow of writing.

Working together
I like to have a video meeting first to talk about your work and ask questions. Putting a face to the name and creating a connection is so important.

Once I have given you a sample edit and we decide we want to work together, I will send you a contract.

An initial down payment is due at the signing of our contract (down payment varies for each service). I accept payment via PayPal or check.

I adhere to the Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition, unless writing is for a newspaper or magazine article. However, it is your project and you get the final say. I am happy to work with you to create your own style rules.

Please send me your project as a Google doc without formatting. I will make edits using track changes and comments.
